Fyr og Flamme (pronounced [ˈfyɐ̯ˀ ʌ ˈflɑmə]; Danish for 'Fire and Flame') is a Danish music duo consisting of Jesper Groth (born 1989) and Laurits Emanuel Pedersen (born 1986). They represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Øve os på hinanden".[1]

Career

Fyr og Flamme became successful in 2020 with the debut single "Menneskeforbruger", which reached number one on the P3 Listen to Danish chart in September 2020.[2] In December 2020, the group released their second single "Kamæleon", and in March 2021, they won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with "Øve os på hinanden", earning the right to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam.[3] This marked the first time since 1997 that Denmark had sent a song completely in Danish to the contest. They failed to qualify for the second semi-final.[4]
