Les Whiteiidae constituent une famille éteinte de poissons à membres charnus. Les deux genres de ce taxon Whiteia et Piveteauia ont vécu à Madagascar et au Canada au cours du Trias inférieur, soit il y a environ 250 Ma (millions d'années).
