Kontrol stabilitas elektronik

Kontrol Stabilitas Elektronik (Inggris:Electronic stability control atau disebut ESP) adalah sebuah teknologi terkomputerisasi [1][2] yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keamanan dari sisi pengendalian mobil dengan cara mendeteksi dan meminimalisir slip. Ketika kontrol ini mendeteksi adanya kehilangan kontrol pengendalian, maka dengan otomatis sistem ini akan membantu rem untuk mengendalikan mobil. Sistem pengereman langsung berjalan ke masing-masing roda, rem roda depan akan mencegah oversteer dan rem roda belakang mencegah understeer. Kadang, sistem ini juga mengurangi tenaga mesin sampai mobilnya terkontrol kembali. Menurut IIHS dan NHTSA (badan regulasi keselamatan otomotif AS), sepertiga dari total kecelakaan fatal dapat dicegah oleh teknologi ini.[3][4]
