Franz Leopold Neumann

Franz Leopold Neumann (ur. 23 maja 1900 w Katowicach, zm. 1954 w Visp, Szwajcaria) – niemiecki politolog, lewicowo-liberalny aktywista i obrońca sądowy ruchu pracowniczego, profesor Columbia University w Nowym Jorku.

Życiorys

Od 1919 r. był członkiem SPD. Ukończył studia prawnicze, pracował na uczelni. Po dojściu Adolfa Hitlera do władzy emigrował; przez pewien czas był wykładowcą London School of Economics. Od 1942 r. był ekspertem ds. niemieckich w instytucjach rządowych w USA, a od 1950 r. profesorem Columbia University. Najbardziej znany z analiz teoretycznych narodowego socjalizmu. Zginął w wypadku drogowym.
