A Distant Trumpet (sh. Udaljena truba) je američki vestern film snimljen 1964. godine u režiji Raoula Walsha, poznat kao posljednje ostvarenje njegove filmografije.

Radnja se temelji na istoimenom romanu Paula Horgana, koji je, pak, bio inspiriran stvarnim događajima na američkom Jugozapadu pred kraj indijanskim ratova. Protagonist, koga tumači Troy Donahue, je mladi konjički oficir američke vojske poslan u garnizon u Arizoni gdje nastoji ukloniti opasnost koju predstavljaju odmetnuti Chiricahua Apači. Radnja prikazuje kako mu pri tome komplikacije predstavlja kako to što se počne sviđati supruzi svog pretpostavljenog (čiji lik tumači Suzanne Pleshette), kao i to da američka vlada sklona prekršiti dogovore sa Indijancima o mirnoj predaji.

Scenario za A Distant Trumpet je u značajnoj mjeri odstupio od književnog predloška, prije svega u prikazu sudbine zarobljenih Indijanaca, a u nastojanju da se filmu da hepi end. Kritičarim su mu, međutim, daleko više zamjerali loše dijaloge i izbor Donahuea za glavnog glumca; Walsh, koji je tokom pola vijeka dobio reputaciju specijalista za vesterne i pustolovne filmove, je dobio pohvale jedino u scenama koje su prikazivale borbe.
