Pelagra je bolest vitaminske deficijencje, koja je najčešće uzrokovana hroničnim nedostatkom nijacina (vitamina B₃) u ishrani. Ona može da bude uzrokava umanjenim unosim niacina ili triptofana,^[1] kao i prekomernim unosim leucina.^[2] Bolest takođe može da bude rezult promena proteinskog metabolizma usled poremećaja kao što je karcinoidni sindrom. Deficijencja aminokiseline lizina isto tako može da dovede do nedostatka niacina.^[3]

Pelagra izaziva oštećenja nervnog sistema, zapaljenje kože, probavne smetnje i gubitak umnih sposobnosti
