Verhaal

In Illinois begint Abraham Lincoln een advocatenpraktijk. Hij verdedigt er twee kinderen, die worden beschuldigd van moord. Nadat hij zijn toekomstige vrouw Mary Todd heeft leren kennen, besluit hij in de politiek te stappen.
